Event
Bob and Pete Meet With Heavenly Recordings
Summer, 1990

Location (Map)
Bush Ranger Pub, Shepherd's Bush, London, England
55 Goldhawk Road

Notes
Martin Kelly: I was working with Jeff Barrett and told Bob that Jeff was setting up a new label, Heavenly. Bob told me that he and Pete had made some recordings, so I suggested he meet Jeff. He seemed the most unlikely person to have done it - I didn't hold out much hope. (Source: Foxbase Alpha Deluxe/Special Edition)

Bob: I think Jeff was genuinely surprised when we presented him with the song. We met him in the Bush Ranger on Goldhawk Road, and he sat there listening to it on his Walkman in silence for 4 1/2 minutes. He didn't have the label at that point. The song finished and he said "Right, I'm starting a record label, can I put this out?" (Source: Foxbase Alpha Deluxe/Special Edition)

Saint Etienne Disco note: The Bush Ranger has changed names a couple of times and in 2019 is called the Costa.
