Early risers may have heard me and Paul on Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday morning. We were treated like minor royalty - Peter Donaldson put us onto a derelict cement factory near Shoreham (Bond-esque, he reckoned) and the lady who booked us (bad memory, apologies) had seen us at a Durham University freshers ball in 1999 - hope she didn't encounter our lechy short-term guitarist. Jim Naughtie said "thanks". It was all quite surreal. I think I'd always imagined everyone in that studio was in semi-darkness, lying on some kind of chaise longue with a duvet, and constant cups of tea.
