Her Winter Coat

It's almost that time of year again and as usual we have tons of news to tell you.

Firstly, we're releasing a Christmas single in December that goes on pre-sale via our online music shop from 5pm (UK time) this Friday 19th November here.

It's called Her Winter Coat and will be accompanied by a beautiful new film by Alasdair McLellan.

Bob Stanley: "We love Christmas, as you probably know, and it feels like it's been a while since our last really Christmassy Christmas record. But I think Pete has done a properly beautiful, icy, frosted, festive job on 'Her Winter Coat'. Alasdair's film for it is the icing on the yule log. I hope you love it as much as I do. We're really looking forward to playing it live!"

Pete Wiggs: "To complement 'Her Winter Coat', Sarah and Gus Bousfield have come up with the incredibly catchy 'A Kiss Like This', laden with swirling hibernal synths, and for a touch of Cold War frost we have the brooding melancholy instrumental 'Lillehammer' to complete the package. Hope you love 'em all!"

Due to current (impossibly long) lead times on pressing vinyl we'll be releasing the single as a four track CD EP plus two flexi discs - in Christmassy green for 'Her Winter Coat' and red for 'A Kiss Like This'. All three will be available to buy individually or as a bundle and we've decided to donate all proceeds from sales to the The Trussell Trust who do amazing work preventing hunger across the UK.

We hit the road tomorrow for our first live shows in over two years and can't wait to see you all. Our dates in Glasgow, London, Saltaire and Hove are all sold out but we still have a few tickets left for next weeks shows at:

The last remaining tickets are available here now but please be quick.

I've Been Trying To Tell You

Lastly we have some great news about a BFI Blu-Ray edition of Alasdair McLellan's film for 'I've Been Trying To Tell You'. Soon after our album launch and film season on the BFI Southbank the idea of releasing the film on hi definition Blu-Ray was suggested. We jumped at the chance and the best part is that the BFI edition is crammed with extras including new films for:

Her Winter Coat
Hello Holly
Escalade
Access To All Alone/Infinity 21

Plus all three original trailers for 'Ive Been Trying To Tell You', a 29 minute interview with Bob Stanley and Alasdair McLellan about the making of the film hosted by Stuart Brown of the BFI and the original Marc Jacobs Daisy commercial featuring 'Nothing Can Stop Us' which served as a catalyst for the collaboration.

The Blu-Ray comes beautifully packaged in a clear case with a 36 page colour booklet containing essays by Jason Wood, Bob Stanley and Alasdair McLellan plus Alasdair's amazing photography throughout. It's available to pre order immediately here.

We're looking forward to seeing lots of you in the coming few days and will be in touch again before Christmas.

Lots of love,

Bob, Pete and Sarah
