Firstly, we'd like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who came out to see us on UK tour over the last two weeks. We've really missed playing live, enjoyed seeing everyone and had so much fun. Thanks to our wonderful band - Debsey, Gerard, Joe, Robin and Mike and of course, James Ball who did the honours mixing the sound.
We're hoping to play our cancelled Sunderland show and possibly a couple of other cities we missed this time around in early June ahead of our first festival date for 2022 which will be at Kite in Kirtlington Park near Oxford on Saturday 11th June. Kite is a new festival and promises to be something special with a unique programme of live performances and interactive discussions. Our label Heavenly are running their own stage packed with goodness, and we will take to the main stage on Saturday evening neatly sandwiched between legends Mavis Staples and Grace Jones. Crikey!
In other news, our new Christmas Single 'Her Winter Coat' will be released in a few days on December 10th. A four track CD EP and two limited edition flexi discs of songs from the EP are available to pre-order here now.
Many of you have been emailing to ask when our new merchandise shop will be ready - well the good news is that the 'Etienne Apparel and Fan Shop' opened it's doors a few days ago (note it's located at a different address to our Music Shop) and you can take a look by clicking here.
The shop already offers a brand new range of tee shirts, sweat shirts, hoodies and tote bags, and over time we will be adding fan club albums, EPs, tea mugs and special edition photographic prints. The most important thing about the Apparel Shop is that we're going green and as environmentally friendly as we can. To avoid any wastage and unsold stock, all items of clothing will be made print on demand - so we'll only produce what you order. Our new range of tee shirts are made from soft, ethically sourced, certified organic cotton and printed in a factory powered by renewable energy. PLUS when you've worn out your Saint Etienne shirt, you can send it back to the factory (for free in the UK) who will recycle it into new products.
As if all that wasn't enough we should remind you of the BFI Blu-Ray edition of I've Been Trying To Tell You. It's cram-packed with extras including the 'Her Winter Coat' video, previously unseen films for 'Hello Holly', 'Escalade' and 'Access To All Alone' plus a 30 minute interview with Bob and Alasdair McLellan discussing the film with the BFI's Stuart Brown. It comes with a 36 booklet of essays and unseen stills and (contrary to what's been advertised elsewhere) is a region 0 disc that will play on all Blu-Ray players.
For details on how to order direct from the BFI please click here and for international buyers please head here.
We've had an incredibly fun but busy year, and are so grateful for all the support you've given us.
It'll soon be Christmas and time to gather round your friends and loved ones with a glass of mulled wine. That's certainly what we'll be doing. And let's all hope that 2022 is exciting in all the right ways.
