Fox Base Alpha is 30!!

Hello Saint Etienne Discoers

Blimey, our eldest just turned 30, how did that happen?! It seems like only yesterday that we launched Fox Base Alpha onto an unsuspecting world on October 14th 1991.

We decided at the start of this year that we should do something to celebrate this landmark birthday but as we went big with our Fox Base Alpha Box Set 5 years ago we thought a gentler more relaxed celebration would be in order. The vinyl edition of Fox Base has been out of stock since the start of the pandemic so we thought it was time to bring it back, but in a special Green Vinyl 30th Anniversary limited edition. Unforeseen manufacturing delays - caused by the pandemic and something beginning with B - mean that we won't have finished copies until December. But it is available to pre-order from our new shop here from this coming Tuesday 19th October.

And as a special bonus - for all those who pre-order before the end of October we'll include free a CD of 5 rare recordings from the Fox Base Alpha era as follows:

Fox Base Rarities

1. Only Love Can Break Your Heart - Flowered Up remix
2. Nothing Can Stop Us - Masters At Work remix
3. Spring - instrumental - on CD for the first time
4. Only Love Can Break Your Heart - Kenlou B-boy remix
5. The Official Saint Etienne World Cup Theme - on CD for the first time

And while you're waiting for your new vinyl, why not listen to the album on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music or other streaming platforms now.

We're also excited to announce that Jane Weaver will be joining as our special guest on selected dates on our UK tour in November. We're huge fans of Jane's and honoured that she will be supporting on the following shows:

November

Thursday 18th - Glasgow - St Lukes
Saturday 20th - London - Alexandra Palace Theatre
Tuesday 23rd - Bristol - Trinity
Wednesday 24th - Birmingham - O2 Institute
Friday 26th - Liverpool - Grand Central Hall

The last remaining tickets are available here but please be quick.

We're really sorry to our friends in the north east - the venue in Sunderland looks wonderful, but B****t and C***d have put back its opening date, so our show there has had to be postponed. We tried every other possible venue in Tyneside, Wearside and Teesside but none worked out. We will definitely play up there in the near future.

Oh, and before we go, we'll be bringing you news of a brand new single very soon.

Lots of love
Bob, Pete and Sarah xxx
