Box Set Go
Finally, we can bring you news of the 'So Tough' 30th anniversary box-set which will go on-sale at 5pm GMT (UK time) next Tuesday 12th December.
This one has been some time in the making and we think it might be our best box-set yet. For full details follow the 'music shop' link in the bio and preview the set.
We trawled our tape archives and found 5 unreleased recordings - two alternate takes and three completely unissued tracks - that we hadn't heard since the original recording sessions in 1992. We've also remastered the original album over two twelve inch 45 rpm discs. The set includes a beautifully designed 28 page perfect bound book containing 3 specially commissioned essays plus a ton of previously unseen band photography from the era. Other goodies include a reproduction press release, promotional sticker and a 7" single featuring two rare mixes of 'Hobart Paving', by production legend Alan Tarney and Beach Boys cohort Van Dyke Parks, both appearing on vinyl for the first time.
This limited edition set can only be pre-ordered via our Saint Etienne online music store here and all orders placed in December will ship in early January.
It has been fun revisiting 'So Tough' and the heady days of the early 90s. Thanks to Brexit, Russian oil prices and our beloved government, it's more expensive than previous editions but we've put love, care and attention into this latest set and think you'll be pleased with the results.
