Q-Tee
Q-Tee (real name Tatiana Mais) first recorded for Heavenly in 1991 when Saint Etienne used her to rhyme on "Filthy", a low slung funk groove that came out as the B side to the re-issue of "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" (she can also be heard on "Calico" off "So Tough").
At the time of recording, Q-Tee was only 15, hailing from the aptly named Kidbrook in South London. A few years later and now 19 years old, Q-Tee signed to Heavenly for a one off single, "Gimme That Body". The track, a breezy, summery street soul backing with Q-Tee's inimitable, almost child like rap style over the top, was a huge radio hit, eventually charting in the Top 40 in January 1996.
In 2008, she released her book Melodies of a Ghetto Princess
