"June 5th found us manning the 1s & 2s at our favourite hostelry's 10th birthday shebeen. Taking to the stage last of all and after Dave Jarvis' impeccable disco and northern soul set, we bottled out of potentially clearing a busy floor with the opening salvo of our rehearsed clever-dick post-punk-through-to-acid-house 'musical journey' and thundered straight on with the classic and 'upfront' bangers. Shapes were thrown, noises were made and our integrity remained in tatters. It were ace."
